Last year, 2025, marked the 10th anniversary of the Memorial’s opening to the public.

In 2025, we were fortunate to welcome 685 visitors to the Beau Bassin Jewish Detainees Memorial and Information Centre from Mauritius and 21 countries from around the world, including France, Germany, Israel, South Africa, the UK, and the US. In addition to educational programmes and walk-in visitors, we were also honoured to host several commemorative and educational public events throughout the year.

We look forward to welcoming more visitors in 2026, as well as continuing both our educational and research programmes.
